I am an Assistant Professor of Strategy at the Melbourne Business School, University of Melbourne in Australia. I completed my Ph.D. in Strategic Management & Entrepreneurship at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland.

My research interests lie at the intersection of corporate strategy and technological changes. I am particularly interested in examining the heterogeneity in firms’ responsive actions to changes in regulatory and technological environment and the role of their pre-existing resources and capabilities in navigating the shocks. In the context of medical diagnostic imaging industry, my dissertation studies the role of firms’ vertical structure and how it helps weathering a demand shock, how and why firms change their horizontal structure in form of product diversification in reaction to the industry modularization, and the role of user institution as an origin of technical standard setting. I rely on various methodologies for the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data in search for the best explanation at play.
